Nigerians in UCL: Musa, Onazi eye group stage tickets

Ahmed Musa, Ogenyi Onazi, Efe Ambrose and Nosa Igiebor will continue their chase for a spot in
the group stage of the Uefa Champions League this week.
Musa’s CSKA Moscow will welcome Sporting Club of Portugal to Russia today after they lost 2-1 in the first leg last week.
The Nigerian, who has been in good scoring form this season, would hope to upturn the deficit in order to reach the round-robin stage.

Onazi and Lazio head to Germany to face Bayer Leverkusen with a 1-0 lead from the first leg in Rome.

Onazi, who started the first game and played for 53 minutes before being substituted, would look to make greater impact in today’s game at the Bay Arena.

The play-off winners will join up with the 22 teams already confirmed for Thursday’s draw.
